Having joined the Ferding Electric Team in 1988, Electrical Contractor and now owner, Scott Jacobsen has 37 years of experience spanning all types of electrical work from residential and commercial to controls and farming applications.

Raised in Canova, South Dakota, he and his wife Val of 38 years have raised their 3 grown sons in the Pierre area.

When he is not working, he enjoying time with his granddaughters and grandson. Scott also enjoys raising cattle, farming, fishing and hunting.

His experience, leadership and professionalism have been huge factors in Ferding Electric’s growth from where it started in 1956.

Jayson is our Foreman and Electrical Contractor. He grew up in Pierre and joined the Ferding Team in 2000. Jayson is a Contractor Level Electrician and is IEC Trained. He has 25 years of electrical experience and knowledge in areas of residential, commercial, mechanical and agricultural applications. He enjoys spending time with his wife Nikki and his large family (including 7 children and grandchildren), camping trips, boating and riding his motorcycle.

A Journeyman Electrician and he joined the Ferding Electric Team in 2008. Aaron grew up in Pierre and graduated from T.F. Riggs High School.

An Electrical Contractor, Bill grew up in Virginia and he joined the Ferding Electric Team in 2013 with 12 years of experience.

He is most interested in the service and new construction aspects of the electrical business.

An Apprentice Electrician and he joined the Ferding Electric Team in 2005. Brad grew up in Pierre and graduated from T.F. Riggs High School.

Don is an Apprentice. He joined the Ferding Electric in 2024. Don grew up in Minnesota.

A Journeyman Electrician and he joined the Ferding Electric Team in 2010. His forte is new commercial construction and exposed conduit work. Shawn grew up in Pierre and graduated from T.F. Riggs High School.

Tim is an Apprentice and currently Completed Training to become a Journeymen. He is waiting to receive his Journeyman License. He joined the Ferding Electric in 2023. Tim grew up in Sturgis and graduated from Western Dakota Tech.

Tory is an Apprentice and Completed College to be a Journeyman. He will be Working to complete his hours to get his Journeyman License. He joined the Ferding Electric in 2023. Troy grew up in Dimock and graduated from Parkston High School.
